Because people are both the beginning and the purpose of development, and because the greatest impact does not always start with a ready-made solution, Ahyaha came to explore what could be.
Ahyaha did not begin with the idea of establishing a foundation; it began with a belief in people, and with giving that extended over years in the service of people and society. The work and initiatives of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal Al Saud and Her Highness Princess Sora bint Saud bin Saad Al Saud have been an extension of a deep-rooted value in Saudi society: the value of giving and responsibility towards people, standing by their needs, and contributing to improving their lives.
As this giving grew and its fields diversified, Ahyaha came as its next step: moving giving from individual initiatives and efforts to institutional work that brings together vision, expertise and knowledge, and turns the desire to give into a method for creating impact.
Hence, Ahyaha Humanity was established as a non-profit community foundation under licence number 1100019500, carrying this human legacy within an institutional framework guided by a clear vision: that people are the focus and purpose of development, and that serving them begins with innovating what makes a real difference in their lives.
At Ahyaha, we do not see a need as the end of the road, but as a starting point. We identify the challenges people face, look for the opportunities behind them, turn promising ideas into initiatives and solutions that can be applied and developed, and support what can make a real difference in the lives of individuals, families and society.
We believe that humanitarian work goes beyond providing a service to creating a solution; for us, innovation does not only mean looking for a different idea, but finding a better way to understand the need, respond to it, and create impact that can last.
